Sunday we remembered St. Lucy (or St. Lucia) with bright candle light early in the morning.

The Feast of St. Andrew
Tuesday, December 8th, 2015
Thanks to my friend Dawn who, last week, asked Katy and I how we celebrate the Feast day of St. Andrew, I remembered it was the Feast of St. Andrew. I was still in Thanksgiving recovery mode on November 30th but remembering saints does not have to be a huge deal. We can do so in very simple ways.
I found a great online coloring book via this site. Esther colored St. Andrew for us so we could see what he looked like. Then for snack time we made St. Andrew’s cross pretzels. I explained to the babies that (according to tradition) Andrew was crucified on a cross shaped like an X.
When did Gerhardt start getting so grown up looking?!
This is a good day to serve fish since Andrew was a fisherman. You can see what we did last year. It was a tad more exciting or at least more planned.
