Fall At The Parsonage

It’s finally Fall and I still feel as if I have not put enough of it into our home or gotten to get out in it. It’s been strange weather for us. Much colder and so so rainy for this time of year. I love me some rainy cool weather but I kinda wanna say “enough already!” The leaves are slowly starting to turn but it’s been so lush and green. If it weren’t for the 40 degree days you’d think we were still in Summer.

Anyway, Fall is here but it’s felt like a slow trickle of Fall and actually maybe we just skipped it and went into a Southern “Winter.” But I’ve been relishing it as I can, here and there.

Parsonage Life Perk #456: Our own playground.

For April we began to slowly crawl out of the thing called Winter. There were some clear set backs to confuse us as to whether or not it was actually Spring but we press on. But it’s one of the things I love about living in the Midwest, it can still snow in April. The seasons here are distinct and we actually get 4 of them and some years you don’t know which you’re gonna wake up to. Yes they are sometimes harsh but they all have their unique wonders.

At The Parsonage

It’s Winter as usual until you wake up one cold morning and you hear the sound of birds. Suddenly you know Spring really will come again. We always record the first sighting of a Robin by trying to take his picture. “The First Robin” of Spring is so exciting to see. This year he came right onto our front porch.
