November 5: Our Mercy turned 8! She wanted a Mercy Watson party. This is one of her favorite book series which is hilarious to me since I never wanted to introduce it to her for fear that she would be quite *unamused* that the main character, Mercy, is a PIG. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
In the books Mercy’s favorite thing to eat is hot buttered toast. I thought it would be fun to make the cake look like a stack of buttered toast. I sliced up a pound cake and drizzled it with vanilla icing. I was worried the kids wouldn’t like it but again I was happy to be wrong.
November 5: Mercy turns 7 and has wanted a Frozen 2 party for months now. I went with an ice cream cake with whipped cream frosting. I thought this would be easy. Remind me next time it is not.
