February 2nd is the Feast of the Purification of Mary and Presentation of our Lord in the temple. Per traditions in Europe you’re supposed to eat crepes on this day. I’ve learned that my babies do not eat crepes so I always make pancakes and maybe make a few crepes for myself. Well, my crepes ended up disappearing! Clara and Esther went crepe crazy. So, note to self, make more crepes next year.

January 6th we celebrated the Feast of Epiphany. We had planned to have 5 other families over to feast and celebrate with us but decided we were not ready for company and revelry so we cancelled this year and kept the festivities as a family.

I’ll finish up my Christmas posts with days 10-12 all at once. On the tenth day of Christmas we made ice ornaments to hang outside.

On the ninth day of Christmas I don’t remember most of what happened. But I did rope Phil into a game night. I reeeally want to be a family that plays games together. It is getting a little easier…but oy! The tension is high and not the good gamey kind of tension. There’s always a whole lotta blood sweat and tears when we go down “family game night” street.
