We mark the days of this Holy Week.
Fig Cookies on Monday, Jesus cursed the Fig Tree.
Ephraim and Daddy go fishing. For supper Monday night….fish of course.
Fish is just such a “Lenten” meal and one Christ and His disciples ate often I’m sure.
On Tuesday we were “egged.” The babies ran inside and said they found an egg. My first thought was to tell them it’s not ours so don’t touch it. Then I saw a sign and realized what had happened.
What a fun surprise! They had so much fun running around our yard looking for eggs.
I was wondering how someone could have pulled this off without me catching them. I spent a couple hours on the back porch that day and some of the eggs were in fact in the back yard. Someone was very sneaky!
Can you tell there’s been a lot of fishing this week? Phil’s been getting up before the crack of dawn or what I’d call the middle of the night and going over to the lake. It’s fun and some relaxation that’s good for him during this busy week. The kids have tagged along a few times. And I always say as long as he cleans them I don’t mind cooking them.
Wednesday night we attend service and feast on Brats at church.
