Clara’s 2nd grade class went to Schramm Park. Phil heard they would be touring the fish hatchery there and was all signed up to chaperone.

First Day of School – 2016

Wednesday the babies were back to school and this year our Gerhardt joins them. All ready for Kindergarten! Per our tradition, a schultüte for his first year. The girls were bummed they didn’t get one, but I’ve decided this is only going to be for Kindergarten kids, not for all the babies every year. Instead of a cone I gave the girls their school supplies and a few goodies in a basket on the table.
Last Day of School

Friday the girls finished 1st and 2nd grades! They loved this year, adjusted very well, learned a lot and made some new friends in their new school along the way.
Last day interviews coming soon. I know you’re anxious to read those.
We party hardied with cupcakes and ice cream.
And I finally got out all the Summer Fun Toys I’ve been stashing away. Special thanks to Kristi and my mom for all the Summer Fun Toys BTW!!
First Day of School

Last week our big girls started school. I was so glad the new school offered a “Meet the Teacher” night. That was probably more assuring for me than for the girls but we were all happy to get to see their classrooms and chat with their teachers before school began.
A new school, a new teacher and new classmates for these two. So many changes they’ve been through over the past couple months. But they don’t seem to be as affected by it as I am I suppose! They were so excited.
