Twas the Night Before Kindergarten and MAMA was ready! Lily started Kindergarten today and Clara afternoon Pre-School. Last night we read this to the girls before bed. School supplies were in the backpack, lunches were made, clothes were laid out. Summer break is over and I’m thankful. I’m ready to start a new routine.
I had a lot of fun making each of the girls a Schultüte last year so I wanted to do it again.
I filled the cones with some goodies from the $1 bins at Target and a little candy.
The girls were excited to get these. I almost forgot to take a picture. I’m hoping this will become a tradition for all the babies on their first day of school.
Time to say “Bye”.
She was so happy!
She seems so big now. She seemed “so big” two years ago walking off to Pre-School, but look how little she was!
And I was fine until Clara said “But I’ll miss Lily”. Then I got a bit watery eyed.
They spend every minute together it will be an adjustment for them to not see each other during the day.
Then it was Clara’s turn to go. She was looking forward to seeing her best friends “Jayden and Spencer” again.
In such a small school it’s nice to know that the same kiddos will be in their class each year, there’s one teacher per grade and we usually know them a little. It eases the jitters at least for me!
Happy First Day of School Big Girls!
Awww! I am doing schultute’s this year too! I am very excited about them!
The girls look so happy and their smiling faces are so beautiful! It’s hard to believe how big they are getting!
