Christmas In Germany

Oh what fun it is to celebrate “Christmas in Germany!” Sunday afternoon the babies danced at the German Society in the Christmas festival. Once again I was so proud of them. They learned several new dances in a pretty short time.

Our Thanksgiving

The babies had 3 days out of school this week. The weather was cold and rainy but thankfully not snowy and icy this year. We spent a lot of the day Wednesday and some Thursday cleaning up the house, I told the kids it looked like a trash can in here. But we got it looking pretty spiffy for a few hours. Phil took some of them ice skating as a treat.

Oktoberfest

September 17th the German American Society held it’s 132nd Oktoberfest. Our babies were all dressed and ready to dance for it.

The dresses on the three big girls were made by one of the club members and we will use them until they grow out of them. But I was excited for another opportunity for someone to be able to wear one of the two dirndls we got in Germany when Lily and Clara were small. Gerhardt would have to get his lederhosen at the club once we got there. And gosh did he look so cute in them!

Mercy could have danced too even though she’s a little young to officially be one of the tanzers, but we expected she would probably be too tired. We were right.
