The Wild Mercy Show

All Mercy, All.The.Time.

“The toddler years are terrible, because toddlers, cute as they are, must be watched every minute of every day or they may dismantle the entire neighborhood. Your parents will try to tell you: “Blink your eyes and they’ll be all grown up,” but don’t you believe it. And for heaven’s sake, don’t try it. I blinked my eyes and my toddlers broke the dining-room table.” Teresa Bloomingdale

Lily finally lost the second of her two front teeth. She’s been enjoying that fact that she can’t pronounce a lot of words correctly anymore.

“Mama, instead of Lily RooSS (Ruth) I say Lily RooFF!”

“Mama, instead of tooSS I say tooFFF!”

Come Holy Spirit! Blessed feast day to you all! Today we celebrate the birth of the Church and the coming of the Comforter with food and song.

I made a lovely Chubby Dove Chocolate Chip Scone for breakfast.

And had to guard it well.

To God the Holy Spirit let us pray
Most of all for faith upon our way
That He may defend us when life is ending
And from exile home we are wending.
Lord, have mercy!

Transcendent Comfort in our every need,
Help us neither scorn nor death to heed
That we may not falter nor courage fail us
When the foe shall taunt and assail us.
Lord, have mercy!

Shine in our hearts, O Spirit, precious light;
Teach us Jesus Christ to know aright
That we may abide in the Lord who bought us,
Till to our true home He has brought us.
Lord, have mercy!

The last day of school has arrived. This has been yet another “10 minute/10 year” years (lickity split fast and mountain climbing slow). Sometimes I can’t believe that these girls are actually growing up.

Lily will be in 2nd grade next school year and that just seems HUGE!
