Remember when I told you how confused Fall has been? We had snow this past Sunday. It started as we crossed the parking lot to go to church. The babies were hooping and excited but I told them to pipe down cuz it wasn’t going to stick. It wouldn’t be something they could get out and play in. I was very very wrong.
It just kept coming and by the time we left church it was everywhere! And sticking!
I had to keep reminding myself it was October!
Of course they really wanted to get out and play but I had lunch to make and was NOT about to go downstairs digging around for everybody’s snow pants and winter coats! I told them if they wanted to go outside they had to dig all this out for themselves. And they did.
The aftermath. I was so not ready for this in OCTOBER! Thankfully it only lasted the day. The babies were so sad when by Monday it was mostly gone. Their little snowman did hold out most of Monday. And the bit left on Tuesday was quickly rescued and placed in the freezer by Clara. He’ll be there until 2020 I’m sure.
this makes me laugh; I know they were so excited to have snow! And how nice they could go get the snow gear on their own! 🙂
Snow means time for hot chocolate, right?! As soon as our weather became cool the boys requested hot chocolate.
Carrie, of course! Mmm.
