March 20th the First Day of Spring, arrived looking and feeling very much NOT like Spring.
But we made the best of it. I bought three new books for the babies and for breakfast we enjoyed “Spring Pancakes” aka Flat Cakes with cream and candy on top.
Four times a year I intend to have the kids have an evening of Seasonal Poetry Recitation. We had so much fun with our “Pizza And Poetry” night during Christmas that I thought we should keep that going throughout the year.
So behold, our Spring Pizza and Poetry Night!
Mercy just had to contribute as well. Her poem is an original. Jigi was quite struck by the beauty and eloquence of the spoken word…whatever those words were.
The kids did a nice job of reciting their poems, even though some were less enthusiastic than other. How could you not want to make up your own poem when Jigi is such a great audience member.
This is wonderful! A good tradition that will serve them well in the future, to speak in front of others. And a new drama queen! I love watching them all! They all did such a great job with their poems!
