Holy Week – Palm Sunday

I can’t figure out exactly why life feels so much more chaotic over the last year than it ever has but  for whatever reason no matter how much “planning” I do, I still seem to feel rushed and unprepared. This year the babies wore their green to church, they waved their palms and sang beautifully, On My Heart Imprint Your Image during the service. And I tried to quiet my brain and not think of the busy week ahead and all the little things that would need to be done to prepare for each day and for the wonderful season of Easter.

I like that we still observe our Palm Sunday tradition of making and eating “Palm Sundaes.” This year Clara and Gerhardt helped me make the Palm Sugar Cookies necessary for scooping the ice cream. Cookies do make yummy spoons don’t they?

We added a few new shapes this year; ‘See, your king comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey, and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.'”

And behold what a kind and loving Mama I am! I shared my Blue Bell with the babies!

This is such a great idea, and every year I forget about it! (I’m such a foodie; it’s embarrassing.)
