I welcome you into our home for a look at our days lately. There are seasons of life that make you feel as though you’ll never get back on your feet. This is mine.
I live minute to minute and so much can happen in a minute. I stand in the rushing current trying to find my footing and all around me…the deluge of life.
Not much is getting done. When I thought I had mastered the life skill of “not much getting done” it gets taken to a new level. I’m bristling under this new way of things and trying to figure out just what it is that’s making the days so much longer on stuff to get done and shorter on time to do it all.
It couldn’t be that I suddenly have 8 children and one of them is dear little Mercy could it? Hmm.
Well. That’s about it. But here, I’ll leave you with two shows for your amusement.
Ephraim sweetly sings baby to sleep. Mercy decides it’s Bible Time.
Satisfactorily scares Martha away and kindly admonishes Ephraim. “Be QUIET! It’s Bible Time Ephraim!” And now you know what Bible Time is like at our house.
All hail the Queen.
*PS Some pictures appear to be different sizes because they are in fact different sizes. Using two phones to snap them with creates this annoying little problem. I’m sure I’m the only one annoyed by that though.
I think you’re getting a lot done. Your children are loved, well-fed, loved, clothed, loved, housed, loved, read to, loved, given Jesus, and LOVED.
You’re doing quite a bit, girlfriend, and I am sooooo PROUD of you for doing it… even in the deluge.
Prayers and hugs to you!
Thank you friend! <3
I love how Ephraim is so totally unimpressed with Mercy’s tirade! And how she gets so quiet when Esther returns! hah!
I love the one of the girls reading together in the kitchen. And the four kids in the tub. And the super happy baby. And… And…
