Creepy Movies

Color me bad, but I love Halloween, and I also kind of like creepy movies, though I might be getting too old and wimpy for these. I do NOT like horror movies, I’ve seen too many and me no likey anymore. Also, not scary movies that are too realistic like kidnapping movies, gross. Just good old creepy ones. I did recently make myself watch World War Z. I don’t do well with zombies and werewolves but this one I’ll say I sort of liked. Brad Pitt might have helped.

Anyway, it’s this time of year I always really want to cozy up with a creepy movie.

Rebekah posted a million years ago about movies and I started working on my own list then, it sounded fun but was getting out of hand. I’ve seen WAY too many movies. It still sounds fun though and I might finish that post I started working on.

But for now, for October I put together a list (cuz I got lots of time to be doing this) of some good creepy or not so creepy movies that I think are perfect for Halloween, course lying in bed in the dark last night thinking about these movies, I decided I probably couldn’t watch half of them any more! ๐Ÿ™‚

The Others, I think this is my favorite ghost story.
The Sixth Sense, oh that M. Night Shyamalala he’s good right?
Signs
The Village
Hocus PocusAll the Harry Potters of course
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
The Changling, we watched this one at school in Jr. High, why in the world my teacher showed it I can’t say, but I still remember it.
The Birds, y’all, I hate birds to this day because of this movie.
Rebecca
Dial M for Murder
Rear Window
Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, Kenneth Branagh’s version, warning this one will make you cry.
The Ghost and Mr. Chicken, this one always came on TV in Oct. when I was little, it scared me and was long. I’ve always wanted to finish it.
Arsenic and Old Lace, funny one.
Ghostbusters, the LIBRARY SCENE!!!!

And some I’m interested in checking out:

The Innocentsย  based on a Henry James book I once read called The Turn of the Screw….creepy!!! Or the TV Move titled The Turn of the Screw
The Watcher in the Woods

Do you like creepy movies? What are some you’d recommend?

Hahaha. Yeah, that was a million years ago. Laughed pretty hard at your “cuz I got lots of time to be doing this” ๐Ÿ™‚

Love the creepy movies. Thrillers, psychological, yep I’m weird that way. A lot of them I thought off the top of my head, you already have on your list. Got me thinking though. ๐Ÿ™‚

I had to skip any of the x-files episodes involving children (we watched them as reruns in 2010, I think).

I still haven’t seen 6th sense. I want/don’t want to see the exorcism of Emily Rose. There was a fake low-budget documentary on netflix a while ago about ufos that was creepy (in a never-really-see-anything way, like 6th Sense) I forget the name, though

I used to enjoy them a lot more than I do now… I’m too big a wimp. I still like a few, but not too many. We still watch The Legend of Sleepy Hollow almost every year, classic. I always liked Hocus Pocus too.
    What about The Shining?

I used to like scary movies, ooo, like The Grudge, never watch it. Katy, I can’t watch those exorcism movies!!!! Mentally being scared is more my style than in your face scary. I think that’s why m night is good. Carrie, I saw the Shining, yuk yuk but very very creepy!

And now you all know why I could not live in a house way out in a corn field. ๐Ÿ™‚
