It’s Fall, who doesn’t feel a little more Pretty, Happy, Funny and Real during Fall?
{Pretty}
Around the corner from the parsonage is my favorite tree in town. The babies like knowing that this is my “favorite tree”. Last year I waited too long to walk over here to let them run around in the beauty of colorful crunchy leaves so even though I should have been cooking supper and even though the wind was gusting at 35 mph, I wanted to get out of the house and watch as they ran here and there under my favorite tree.
Clara didn’t want to join us.
She prefered staying home so she could boss Ephraim around without any competition.
{Happy}
It does me good to see how much these babies love running amok outside. And it’s nice that some are getting old enough to let walk on their own, no strollers needed, just throw on our jackets and go.
{Funny}
Silly Lily trying to make me laugh.
It worked but really because I can’t believe she’s getting old enough to try to make me laugh on purpose or NOT trying to make me laugh. I have a hard time not laughing when she comes home from school sounding so grown up using some new word or tells me that “just because she’s little doesn’t mean she can’t do big things.” What?!
And then there’s this guy….
{Real}
No, it’s not you, my glasses are indeed wonky. That’s what happens when you wear two pair at the same time. I multi-task.
Life is about to change in our home with a new baby and really we never get completely used to any kind of normal. Our normal is a new baby every 12 months, we don’t know any different than change and adapt. But now, right before a birth, is always the time I step back and think “this is all about to change”. We just got Ephraim sleeping and are moving into his year of becoming a toddler and we’re right back to newborn days again, starting all over.
And each year they get bigger. Change change change.
Precious!!! They are all so beautiful!!!! Love the tree,
