I’m goin’ waaaay back. Mother’s Day seems a long time ago. It was a long time ago but I’ve gotta play catch up here! For Mother’s Day Phil took me to the symphony. We heard a bit of Bach and then the amazing suite; The Planets! So much fun to listen to.
May 5 – Cinco De Mayo

I rarely let Cinco de Mayo go by without doing something. I’m not sure why, but it’s a good way to expose babies to other cultures and in a way, remember some of our Texas roots. Not that Nebraska doesn’t have a large Mexican American presence, it does. But it’s the day we eat Mexican cuisine, watch traditional Mexican dancing on YouTube (I know, that’s kind of sad when I type it out) and make churros, there are always churros. This year I really wanted to get to some of the Cinco de Mayo festivities here in town but we didn’t. Maybe next year.
