A Bundle of Myrrh

>Our 18 Month Old.

A year and a half ago it was so hard to imagine what life would be like with a walking, talking baby. Holding our newborn baby Lily those days seemed so so far away. How quickly 18 months have passed and here we are with a raging case of TODDLER! Lily has mastered “no” and has added several words such as; “uh-oh”, “there-is”, “knock-knock”, “nigh-nigh” and “cold”. She’s also very good at tattling on Clara who she affectionately has started to call “Ca-Ca” (sorry Clara). She’s definitely “a handful” as they say of children this age, but she’s such a sweet and funny little handful!

>The Longest January.

This month brought more snow, heavy fog, ice, power outages, Phil away from home and sickness so I say so long to a long January! The week I had hoped would be a none stop Girl Party for me and my Mama turned into a frustrating and trying 5 days. We lost power several times during the night and at times during the days that followed. We bundled up, lit candles and prayed for it to come back on. Once it did we would scramble around to make supper at 3 in the afternoon in case it went back off. Phil finally made it home on Friday, in time for 40 mph winds and more snow. The stress of the week gave me a nice viral infection with fever, soar throat and mouth ulcers! My mom was a rock for me over the last few weeks. I’m slowly getting back on my feet and sure wishing she was back here!

Staying warm!

>Seven Months Old

Our little (big) Clara is seven months old. She weighs in at a little over 19 lbs, reaches 28 inches long and never stops. But don’t let that cute face fool you. This ball of baby will eat you out of house and home with a two toothed grin on her face, leave a wake of soggy socks, slippers or shoes in her wake, destroy any piece of paper in her path and teach you the hard way what brooms and vacuum cleaners are for. We don’t call her “Clara the Terra” for nothing.
