September 7: It’s been quite a while since I only had a 1 and 2 year old home for most of the day and almost hard to remember. It’s not without it’s challenges for sure. But I have to say it’s its own kind of sweetness that I do miss. Perspective does make a difference.

August 31: Baby girl things! It’s been 5 years since we had a baby girl. I got rid of so much of our girl clothing I knew I would have to do some shopping for this baby…darn.
But I’ll be honest, with her diagnosis that’s been a little hard. Not because I’m not excited, I’m very excited to have her here, but because I have no idea what she’ll need or even be able to wear at different phases of her first year. So I’ve tried to stick with onesies, dresses and sleeping gowns. I’ve gobbled up all the Clearance items from this Summer for next year and had fun getting some new pacifiers, hair bows and a few toys.
There’s too many things about this pregnancy, her birth and her first year that have been and will be so difficult and not normal for us, so I’m embracing the joys and what “normal” I can for now, even if it’s just buying some new rompers and swaddle blankets. It’s just too dang fun to shop for baby girls.

August 28: Gerhardt turns ELEVEN! We threw a “Wings of Fire” party for him. He loves this book series all about the gore and glory of Dragons.

September 16: And 36 weeks now. Baby has gained another pound in the last couple weeks and looks great. The tech doing the ultrasound today showed me all of baby’s hair. What can I say, we have ‘full head of hair’ babies. 😂
There have been some unexpected *possible developments with the timing and method of our delivery, nothing of emergency but your ongoing prayers would are appreciated. 💛
