The kids love Omaha’s Children Museum and Daddy loves taking them there often. This usually gives Mama half a day to run errands or catch up on this old blog, I’m thankful.

The Last Day of School – 2018

May 25th was our last day of school in these parts. These 4 all made it through another year, no fails! We always hold our breath with Kindergarten since their Daddy had to repeat that one and it could be genetic….
Observing Pentecost

The more babies I’ve had and the busier our days get these observances become increasingly simple but I continue to mark them in some way, I think that’s important for our family. Observing particular holy days on our church calendar does not need to be difficult or involved. For Pentecost, May 20th this year, the babies wore their best reds (the color of this holy day) and we had a fun dessert after lunch or supper. I actually think we missed the special dessert on Sunday and observed more of Pentecost on the following Monday which is called “Whit Monday,” or “Pentecost Monday.” Two days for Pentecost because some of us need a little more time.
