Joining the wonderful Emily over at Weak and Loved and sharing my MESSES from this week!
You must read this post she wrote on Messes. It’s one of those, “Uh-huh, ‘Zactly! Oh girl I know.” posts.
And Round Two later that week.
I’m not sure who lost this battle, Clara or the bag of crackers.
Oh, I do love craft time…sigh. Better on the floor than in the mouth I guess.
“And everywhere that Gerhardt went…”
“A mess was sure to go!”
It’s a hard fact of being Mama and Housekeeper, nothing stays clean…for more than 12 minutes. It can drive you to fits. You begin to feel that after a long day of hard work you’ve still “accomplished” nothing! I always wanted to be one of those carefree Mamas happy to shoo their babies out the door to play in the mud. Well, I’ll be honest I am happy to shoo my babies out the door and eh, if they’re in the mud and happy, fine…then my crazy kicks in and I start to think about the pile of laundry they’re adding to, the nice shiney floor I just mopped that they’ll be tramping in on any second and I panic. Sigh. And after all the fits, frustration and frenzy I’m still left with the biggest mess of all, myself.
This is hilarious! I am so glad you linked up today!
I completely relate about the laundry. And the crackers…. wow. I sure hope you have a shop vac.
And yet sometimes while I do important stuff (ie, blog!) I actually allow my boys to wrestle bags of crackers like that. Sometimes, it’s worth it 🙂
PS It doesn’t look like the button is working (my fault maybe, sorry if it is, I am still learning this!)
It is supposed to work if you copy and past the html code from the box into the html form on your blog post. If night you might have to manually link up the picture…. but if that doesn’t work either, don’t worry about it!
Thanks Emily! Some days I wish I could use the shop vac on the entire house. I’ve had a good time looking at everyone else’s mess in your new series, it’s always good to know you’re not alone in trenches!
And I think I fixed the link button, thanks for letting me know!
