“I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— just as the Father knows me and I know the Father —and I lay down my life for the sheep.” John 10:14-15
The Fourth Sunday of Easter is sometimes celebrated as Good Shepherd Sunday. I’m using that theme this weekend with the girls. I thought I’d share some of my ideas:
Singing: The King of Love My Shepherd Is, The Lord’s My Shepherd, I’ll Not Want and I Am Jesus’ Little Lamb
Lamb crafts: Handprint Lamb, Tin Can Lamb, Toilet Paper Roll Lamb
Coloring:

Playing: We’ll color the characters and paste them to popsicle sticks. The girls love this kind of roll playing.
Reading: Pg 376-369 from The Story Bible and Jesus, My Good Shepherd Arch Book and parts of John 10
Eating: Ideas here are great! and since I’m really really craving some gingersnap cookies I’m going to try to use that to make shepherd staff and wolf paw cookies.
And this would be fun to have to hang, Shepherd Mobile. Maybe I can make something like it.
Does your family do anything special for Good Shepherd Sunday?
Wow, that Grandpa Hale is quite a craftsman! That’s beautiful!
Grandpa has so much talent! I’m happy to have his gifts around our home!
