“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age”
“looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.” Titus 2:11-14
And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Rev 22:17
I wanted to “decorate” for Advent this year. I only put a few things out that give the feeling of waiting and I’ll wait until a few days before Christmas to put up all the other decorations and junk I love so much!
I do put out some of our Nativity sets and finally found the perfect Advent calendar, Phil’s parents got it for us. It came on December 1st so the timing was great!
There are so many beautiful and fun calendars out there. But I wanted one that focused on the Nativity and had doors the children could open each day to find a little surprises.
This one has such a great amount of space behind the doors. I can put all kinds of things in there!
How do you decorate through December? Do you use an Advent calendar to countdown to Christmas?
Where did the grandparents find that superb Advent calendar. It’s one of the most unique ones that I’ve ever seen. Details please. PS – I love your blog. So real, so real, so real and so refreshing.
Hello Anne and thanks! It took a lot of hunting but it was ordered here:

They have several really nice wooden calendars.
Thanks so much for the information. What a great Christmas gift for my children and their children.
