Oct. 3-6: We head North to a former stomping ground of ours, no not this campground but the city it’s nestled in, Sioux City IA. We spent 3 days at Stone State Park. When we lived 45 miles from here we used Sioux City for grocery shopping, hitting Target and Hobby Lobby, some doctors visits and the occasional date night. We had no idea back then there was an amazing and old campground here, that there were so many beautiful hills and so much to do for free for families in this city! We really just had no need for these things years ago but now with bigger kids and a camper it’s fun to go back for different reasons. While we were here we did a lot of sight seeing activities, we were real tourists!
The babies love to hike. Phil takes them on the more strenuous hikes while I stay back at the camper soaking in the hot tub and sipping wine.
We added a fun game to our stash for playing after hours.
It’s definitely cooling off these days, chilly but such a nicer way to camp than in the heat.
It’s so pretty. Certainly is a nice discovery in your old stomping grounds.
