What a wild couple of months we’ve had. After making our way through colds and fevers much of January, the week before Abel was born we discovered the kids had head lice.
Gross. Dealing with this was not something I wanted to be doing days before we brought a new baby home. Thankfully Phil single-handedly conquered most of Mt. Lice Laundry, treated heads and combed through miles of hair. He is per always my hero.
Then we got to deal with another round of illness, this time a nasty mean painful stomach bug that ran through everyone.
On the mend we attacked some of the clutter in the house. With a big family purging and reorganizing all the things are constants. Phil helped me focus on the clothing storage ‘situation’ we’ve had for years. I’ve always wanted clear totes and more order to our storage system. So we got to work on that. We made a ton of progress!

We’ve had more snow the last couple months than we can remember having since we’ve lived in Omaha and so many snow days for the kids.
We’ve been very cooped up but at least there’s been hot chocolate.
And this little guy who is starting to flash those wonderful huge cheesy grins that make my heart burst. He’s also starting to join the family at (or on) the table.
Per tradition, a tap dance performance from the newest at the table is unavoidable.
With March upon us I’m hopeful. Each week we get a little healthier and a little more of our energy back…and Spring is coming. Lent will of course be long, but on the other side of it warmer days and Easter await!
Love the new storage solution! I remember all those cardboard boxes….
Wishing you all a healthy Lent!
Seriously, head lice followed by a stomach bug – I’m not sure which would be worse in our house. I am glad you’re all on the mend.
Your storage area looks amazing – I need to get on mine. Thanks for the inspiration!
And thanks for sharing that amazing photo of Abel! He’s adorable!
