Later in the afternoon of day 4 we loaded up and drove to Frisco, only about 30 minutes away from Vail. This was not a stop we had on our itinerary when we had planned our Colorado trip but something pretty amazing happened to cause us to add this outing.
About two days into the trip I received a message on Facebook from one of my oldest friends. She just happened to login to Facebook that day, something she doesn’t do very often, and saw my posts about being in Vail. She couldn’t believe it, she contacted me to let me know we were in her neck of the woods and wanted to see us.
I couldn’t believe it either. We had lost contact some years ago and now she was almost just around the corner!
She told us we could meet up at the Marina in Frisco to do some paddle boarding and playing in the sand.
This paddle boarding thing was a first for Phil and for all of us. He got the hang of it then took some of the babies out.
Including Martha, which I never thought I’d see.
From the marina we went on to my friends home for supper.
