Revelation 7:13-17 “These who are clothed in the white robes, who are they, and where have they come from?”  I said to him, “My lord, you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they havewashed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. For this reason, they are before the throne of God; and they serve Him day and night in His temple; and He who sits on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them. They will hunger no longer, nor thirst anymore; nor will the sun beat down on them, nor any heat; for the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd, and will guide them to springs of the water of life; and God will wipe every tear from their eyes.

Blessed day of All Saints. This day was busy and it felt as though we were all recovering from the trick or treating the night before but I needed to go to visit my dear one’s grave.

My mom was here visiting so Phil and I were able to go together to the cemetary near our home. We read God’s Word and thanked God for the life He created and then quickly took to Himself.

We thanked Him for two more children He has taken back to Himself so soon since we lost Ebenezer. We have seen a lot of death this year. But we do not mourn as those without Hope.

Our children will never know the sorrows we know on this Earth. We wait for the blessed eternal joy of endless morning and no dark nights.

“Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.”

On Friday we took the big girls to The cathedral of St. Cecilia here in Omaha to hear Cristobal de Morales’s Requiem. Granted and sadly, it was a prayer for the dead per Roman Catholic tradition, but the choir, the voices, they were stunning and heavenly if I may say that.

Afterward we stopped for ice cream. No, it’s never too cold for ice cream.

And as is our family tradition, we wore white or mostly white and feasted after church.

Our son’s name was read aloud in the service on Sunday and a bell rang out for him. In the quietness I added our other two babies, Enoch and Isaiah whose names are also written now in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

We hold them all in our hearts until we behold them in Heaven.
