On Easter Sunday we rejoice in the Resurrection of our Lord.

We get our pretties on and I holler “Ready Kids, go to the door!” As I do every Sunday. They look so cute all gathered here I can’t help trying to get a picture.

Our church hosts a grand breakfast feast between the morning services. Then there is that Easter Egg Hunt thing the kids do. They each come back with heaping baskets of eggs. And I know what’s in those eggs!

This year I feel more on the ball and remember to tell Phil we’ve got to get a family picture before we leave church. We do our best.

And another proud moment! The weather has held out, the ground didn’t seem to bad and I said, we’re doing this! Everyone outside, I’m getting “THE PICTURE.”

And as we do every year. We get in the grass and whatever happens, happens.

Seriously, can we get a close up of this? So much precious.

Martha had been Baby Amazing ALLLLLL morning until the 3 minutes I tried to get THE PICTURE.

And we’re done.

Lunch was a bunch of candy. Well, there was also pork tenderloin, yeast rolls, corn, salad and of course Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. I was so tired by Sunday it was all I could do to cook some meat and microwave some frozen corn. And I did remember to get the rolls out to rise too. Win.

After Banishment Time the sun came out and the babies found candy I’d hidden around the yard. We weren’t able to keep the plastic eggs since they belong to the church, but finding candy is just as fun.

The weather was perfect the rest of the day. Warm and sunny. Phil loaded us in the Hale on Wheels and off we went. Our first stop was the cemetery to remember and honor our little Ebenezer. Then we got out to run around this beautiful field of purple flowers. They grow here before planting season begins and it’s such a lovely site from the road.

So since we can’t get photos of our babies in the Texas Bluebonnets we enjoy our babies in the sea of Purple.

Sweet, sweet Martha. You did so well. Someday you will hopefully be able to laugh at the pictures.

I love Gerhardt’s face in the outdoor Easter photo session.

Such a beautiful family — all of you, those here and those already with Jesus in heaven. God’s peace be with you! Christ is risen! Alleluia!

I love all the Easter photos! I’m glad the weather was nice for outside activities; the lavender fields are so pretty! Gerhardt’s expressions made me laugh, I can just imagine the noise Martha was making- great shots! 🙂

    He is Risen Indeed, Alleluia!

Love all the family photos, the girls in their white dresses and those handsome boys in their light green. The purple fields are gorgeous!
