We began our Holy Week preparing for Palm Sunday. On Saturday we walked over to church where we learned how to make little crosses out of palm branches. Some we would keep and the others would be handed out on Sunday morning for members to pin to their clothes.
I was proud of how quickly the girls picked up how to do these. We took some branches home and just couldn’t stop making them!
“Palm Sundaes” again this year of course.
And our Lord’s Passion begins. Or continues I should say as His entire life has been one of redemption, suffering and salvation all leading to this week, His death and His victory over death for our sake.
“And yet He comes. The children cheer.
With Palms His path is strown.
With every step the Cross draws near.
The King of Glory’s Throne.”
You inspired me. For the first time I attempted to make a palm cross. It didn’t turn out as pretty as yours did, but had fun making it.
Pretty crosses; that’s a nice way to display the palms! Gerhardt’s grin makes me smile! 🙂
Aubri, you do a great job on this site. One of first things I do every morning is log in on and check on your beautiful family. It is a wonderful thing you do to keep us in touch.

Carrie, if I hadn’t had someone showing me what to do I would have been lost!
Grandmere, we had so many I had to get creative. 😀
Thank you G’Paw! I love doing it.
