On the first day of Christmas it was very nice to have Phil home in the morning before we went off to church. We let the babies open stockings and a goodie basket on the table. For breakfast; Chocolate Chip muffins that Lily helped me bake, sausage egg casserole and store bought chocolate milk, very special.
Josephine’s first stocking!
All dolled up for church this morning. Way less pressure than getting ready for the Christmas Eve service the night before and so good to have Daddy’s help. All our Christmas outfits were from Grandma. I was so happy they all fit. They looked so cute. As you can see Martha just loves group photo shoots.
Let’s get one without the happy baby.
Speaking of happy babies. It’s this baby’s first Christmas out here with trees and presents and all these people.
After church we had a feast; Ham, rolls, mashed potatoes, macaroni (of course) and raw broccoli cuz that’s how these kids like it.
Then it was finally time to open some presents!
After all this I was worn out and honestly a little depressed about the state of the kitchen after a couple days of eating and cooking. But it would have to wait because I really needed a nap.
After some quiet time and frozen pizza for the babies we had a Christmas Carol sing. Then Phil got to grilling the traditional steak dinner he and I treat ourselves to each year. Throw some leftover mashed potatoes next to that steak and we have some mighty fine dining.
Everybody looks so pretty, even the “happy baby!” I’m glad Gerhardt got his stuffy shark! 🙂
