Today we received this beautiful Christmas card from our friends Jud and Eugenie. I love getting Christmas cards from friends and family. This year I will save all of them (except this one, Phil opened before I could tell him) to open during the 12 days of Christmas.
And uh, no that’s not something gross and dried up on the table there, it’s obviously something that could NOT be wiped up, why else would it still be there, dried up and gross? Gah!
Lily helped Mama feed Gerhardt. On occasion she calls him “it”, like a family pet…hmm.
Ugg! On Mondays (Monday Funday they’re called now) the babies get divided up between two wonderful ladies who watch them for the day so Phil and I can have time to take care of whatever we want, shopping, reading, crafting (Phil’s so into crafts), or just doing NOTHING at all. It’s so good for me! After we ordered lunch in and watched a movie, I sat down at my sewing machine.
I had the brilliant idea that I would MAKE tutus for the girls for Christmas instead of spending $15 to buy them one. Don’t ever have this brilliant idea. It’s not brilliant it’s bonkers. This is what I’ve got so far after the mis-measuring, ripping, melting, starting over, tearing out seams, not knowing what I was doing mayhem. Bonkers. Want a tutu? Buy one.
We’ve been enjoying a Jesse Tree this Advent. After Phil reads our Bible and lesson for the day Lily gets to hang the ornament on our tree. Our ornaments are made from printable images and colored card stock I had on hand. Phil’s mom and I colored them while she was here. Our tree is just some branches that fell out of our tree, stuck in a large vase. Nothing special to look at, but I’m hoping this will be a special tradition that our children come to enjoy in the years to come. I may upgrade at some point though!
