A Bundle of Myrrh

I’ll take a break from our usual Person of Interest when it comes to hair and update you all on the big girls latest style! They have been wanting “short hair” for over a year now but I have never trusted my self or my magic pruners to provide a satisfactory short hair cut. Short = Buzz right?

Well, a couple weeks ago a dear lady and new friend at church, Carissa, who happens to be a professional stylist asked me how I cut the kids hair. I went into my long sob story.

The next week she asked if she could give the girls hair cuts!!! Why YES PLEASE YES! Was pretty much my response.

She was kind enough to come to the parsonage too. Have scissors will travel! She recently had a sweet little baby boy and is still on Maternity Leave so…perfect! Clara was up first. I let her decide how short she wanted to go since, might as well right?!

And TaDa! Did I ever tell you all how Clara cut her own bangs this Winter? She went with my go to hair cut skill of BUZZ and scissored them right to the scalp. The small chunk she cut was finally starting to grow out but not looking very nice and very hard to disguise. I had Carissa just whop the rest off to even life out a bit.

Next up Lily! Lily opted for a more conservative look of long bob right above her shoulders. Very much Lily.
