December 13th was the childrens’ Christmas program at the German American Society. If I haven’t clarified already, we are not German Americans. A very kind couple at our church gave us a year’s membership to the society and we have been enjoying as much of it as we can! Every Saturday Lily, Clara, Gerhardt and Esther have been taking German lessons.
The German language classes worked on a Christmas program. Our 3 girls were ‘snowflakes’. You can kind of see here. Clara is holding the mic, Lily you can see down from her. I’m trying to be patient with the phone on my camera. My digital point and shoot hasn’t been working for a while. So unfortunately, the pictures I got are terrible.
And there is our Esther snowflake!
Gerhardt was ein kleiner Schneemann, a little snowman. I was so proud he did his dance with the others!
Then things got wild!
After the program there were cookies and a puppet show.
And a marionette Jack and the Bean Stalk show.
How fun! It’s so funny to see Esther joining in with the “big” girls! Yay for Gerhardt joining in too! 🙂
