As I did last year I’ve decided to capture a slice of our life each day of December until the 25th. I came across Ali Edward’s website and loved her scrapbooking idea that does the same thing. Her books are amazing, but with my limited resources I opted to blog instead of scrapbook. I liked the idea of setting aside one month to capture the little things we did everyday and what better month than December!
It was nice to look back on last year’s posts and remember some of what may have been forgotten otherwise. So here we go again!
Phil was kind enough to break our “tradition” of chopping a huge weed tree out of the ditch and actually get a “real” Christmas tree this year! A member of our other congregation grows trees and has a batch he isn’t able to sell, so we were very happy to take one off his hands. I think Phil was sad that he couldn’t go tree hunting but he did get to cut this one down and drag his kill home so I reckon he’s ok with it.
I tried to let the girls help decorate a little. It did not go well and unfortunately our Nebraska ball was shattered.
A beautiful sunset tonight!
Ready to go to Advent Vespers.
my first thought was that it did not look like a “ditch” tree! It looks so pretty!
