Trusting God’s Word and promise, we brought Martha to the waters of Holy Baptism on Sunday. We rejoice that God has made her His own and given her eternal life.
“We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” (Rom. 6:4)
In fulfillment of His own purpose He gave us birth by the Word of truth, so that we would become a kind of first fruits of His creatures.” James 1:18
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy he has given us a new birth into a lively hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” I Peter 1:3
“The first thing and greatest thing he has done for us above is that he has given us birth and made us his children and heirs so that we have become and are called “children born of God.” How, or by what means, did that happen? Through the Word of Truth.” Martin Luther
In the picture where she’s wearing her baptism cap, it looks like Martha is about to say, “Alleluia!” We rejoice with you, Martha, that now you are a member of God’s family. Welcome!
Thanks be to God! Lovely gown. I’ve been looking for one like it (we don’t have any heirlooms)
Thank y’all.
YES Kristi she was! And it was lovely!
Katy, isn’t it beautiful? I’m working on a “gown” post as we speak.
Welcome to the family Martha!
And I love that family photo – definitely one to frame or use for Christmas cards.

Happy Baptism! Again, I enjoyed all the pictures.
