Christmas Days Five – Ten

Well I just want to get some pictures of what we’ve been up to posted before it’s February. Bad news, I’m still sick with ANOTHER cold which has stolen my senses of smell and taste for the past 3 days. So so sad for Holiday baking and good food making. Just makes me very very grumpy.

Good news, the babies are doing much better or on the mend. We’re still coughing to the point of barfing but that’s better right?!

So briefly here are our 5th-10th days of Christmas.

Day 5: Gingerbread Houses and realizing why I don’t like making Gingerbread houses. And annual trek to town for pizza and Christmas lights looking.
Day 6: Gingerbread Man Playdough
Day 7: Sugar Cookies and a happenin’ New Year’s Eve Bash! Pretend that’s a “15” in the veggie tray and not “IS.” Reminds me of my 2011 “Zoll” chocolate candy!
Day 8: Names of Jesus Ornaments
Day 9: An attempt at homemade corn dogs (I give up).
Day 10: Christmas Tree Pizza

If you had to lose your sense of taste and smell for a few days, maybe it was God’s way of being merciful and letting it happen while making those gingerbread houses. 😉

Looks very similar to the one my son brought home from preschool. It lived on the counter for quite a while. We took a picture and now it has a new home.

  2. I read somewhere that turning the gingerbread houses (or whatevers!) upside down and filling the cavity with bird seed and then putting them out for the birds is a great way to dispose of them. We have a few that I’m going to try that with this week…

So sorry you lost your sense of smell and taste. Prayers for health for you, Phil and the babies!

Well I love your tenacious spirit even when you are not feeling up to par; you are making wonderful memories for your little ones! Hope you are all feeling better soon! 🙂
