Summer time in Texas. It can best be survived in the cold AC or next to water. In cases of emergency you can use shade. For me surviving a Texas summer was always much like the way I survive Nebraska winters, by staying inside 98.9% of the time (the other % spent outdoors only on the way to your furnace mobile.)
The babies loved the water. Pools aren’t something we’ve done much of up here so it worked out perfectly to get them some swimming lessons while in Texas. For two weeks they’ve been having classes. I’m so proud of all of them. As with all new things, Lily cried in dread days before the lessons and Gerhardt had been avoiding getting so much as a toe in the pool until then. But they all did a great job.
