Monday we celebrated the Feast of St. Patrick (along with the rest of the world).
We started the day with Shamrock and Bishop staff cinnamon rolls for breakfast. We prayed for missionaries and sang O Blessed Light, O Trinity LSB 890.
Ham and Potato soup for lunch. I also made soda bread in a skillet.
I’ve had soda bread before and loved it, this recipe was a bit bland but tolerable when drenched in potato soup!
My babies are just getting to where they’ll eat things like chili and soup. They actually liked this. I was very excited!
Ephraim has graduated from the high chair to the table and is much better at eating soup than his mama.
For our party, “Party Popcorn”, Rainbow necklaces and I made green playdough.
Then I heard Clara say “Look Mama!”
“Oh how nice baby sug, what pretty molotov cocktails.” Said no mother ever.
Clara dressed herself for school and I couldn’t have been more pleased with her festive choices!
And now for a treat!
You know you want to kiss this little Irish sugar!
Aubri, your kids are so cute. Your baby is absolutely beautiful. I am so glad that now our kids can eat soup. Soup is one of those meals that is cheap, nutritious, and relatively easy! How can a mother not love that?!?
Soups and cereals have been a no go with the babies in our house. 🙁 Maybe that’s all about to change! Oh and I’ll add casseroles to that list. All the dishes busy Mamas with a lot of mouths to feed really want to be able to put on the table. Poor me.
And thanks, I think that baby is pretty beautiful too! 🙂
Is there a limit to the number of kisses we can give her? So adorable.
No Kristi, but there is a looong line of us lining up to give her those kisses! 🙂
