Saturday was one of those “one thing after another” days. Running all over the house putting out flames, and not the kind George Strait gets to put out.

I knew it was gonna be a long day when I looked up from washing breakfast dishes and saw….

Essie with a blueberry applesauce hair treatment. “Give Essie a bath” was added to my To Do list. I was really feeling sorry for myself, then I saw this. Scrolled all the way down and felt glad it was just applesauce I had to clean up. Poor Grace.

Saturday’s TO DO list started out simple:

Put away groceries
Tidy up bedrooms
Wash Diapers

Not too bad, but as the morning went on I knew that this list of 3 things was gonna be Mission Impossible.

I came across good advice sometime ago, to jot down what you ACTUALLY do get done in a day instead of dwelling on what you DON’T get done.  Every once in a while I remember to do that.

So, in contrast to the To Do list, I present the “Ta Da!” list. Here was mine from yesterday:

Breakfast made (before I’d had my coffee!)
Table cleared and wiped off
Two babies bathed AND lotioned
2 puzzles put together
*Discipline chart made…another post on this to come. It was a rough morning.

Lunch cleaned up
Table wiped again
Floor swept
Dishwasher unloaded
Dishwasher loaded and ran
6 diapers changed (Essie is potty training. Yay!)
TeeTee accident wiped up off floor and chair
Towels washed
Towels dried
Diapers in the wash! Another Yay!
Clean Diapers from Thursday’s load folded
Kitchen towels folded
Downstairs rooms tidied up
Cartoon put on for the babies
Snack made (nectarine slices and raisins, I was going easy on myself)

Bars from a box for church diner made (It took 45 mins just to get these mixed and in the oven)
Supper made
Diapers made for bedtime
1 more story read
More tidying up
Supper cleared from table
Ephraim Pajama-ed and put to bed
2 pages from this book read

Ta Da!

I still haven’t finished putting away groceries, only two rooms got “tidied” and don’t look at the kitchen table or floor, but look at all that other stuff that got DONE! Thank you Ta Da! list!
