Yesterday was Preschool graduation day.
Lily has successfully completed two years of preschool and will begin Kindergarten next year!
Clara finished her first year and will move up to Afternoon Preschool, we’re very proud.
What’s interesting about small communities and Community Schools is that this is the entire class. If we stay here for another 13 years, these will be the children in her Senior Class. They will grow up together, see one another every school day, go on trips together, be friends, not be friends. It’s fascinating and so foreign to me.
Each of the students had a little “job” during the program to show different skills they’ve learned this year. Lily’s task was to write her name. You can’t see it, but she’s really improved her “Y”!
The infamous (at our house at least) “Tootie Ta” song
Receiving her diploma! Where’s my tissue?
The kiddos were also given and award and candy bar to go with their personality or something about them this year. Lily got the “Twix Award” because she and her good friend Tayla were always together.
The girls’ teacher.
I knew right away that Clara’s graduation program would be Clararific.
There she was front and center, happy to do nothing at all.
Ho hum.
“Clara, what color is this?” Sound of crickets….
She did however manage to get in some panty flashes and whatever she’s doing here!!
Good grief. I can’t wait to see this picture in the Newspaper.
Clara recieved the “Bit O’ Honey Award” because she was always sweet and never complained. She wouldn’t get that award at home, but I’m so glad to know she can get that somewhere!
Congratulations big girls!
Congrats to your big girls!!!!
Too funny with Clara. My daughter adjusted her tights when we went up for communion one Sunday when she was that age – hiked up skirt and everything! Yikes. At least there weren’t too many who were paying much attention….
I always had my daughter wear bike shorts under her skirts at that age so we didn’t have any panty flashes. To this day (she’s 8) she feels like she needs shorts under her skirt! 🙂 They did come in handy last year when her skirt fell down to her ankles during her speaking part in the church Christmas pageant last year…. talk about a mortified mama here *blush*! She very casually finished her lines, picked up her skirt and walked back stage to ask for a safety pin! I think the church will be talking about that one for a few years….
Enjoy these years – my kiddos are starting to not look like kids anymore. Sheesh, the time goes by so fast!
Thanks for sharing,
Lea
Congrats! What a great celebration…May God continue to bless them as they grow.
Priceless! Love the Tootie Ta song!
Thanks all! Yes and to think the teacher invited the parents to join in on the Tootie Ta song! I was sure Phil was gonna jump right up….
Lea, glad to know I’m not alone in the “blushing”! 🙂
