We’re leaving for Texas tomorrow but first we had to get through our week of VBS. I volunteered to head up craft time this year for 60 kids. I’m wiped out.
Four of our babies were in Bible School this week!
I wasn’t surprised that Esther would want to go and do fine away from Mama and Daddy, I mean, look at her, so chill. But I was really proud of Gerhardt. He’s come a long way this year.

Sadly we have more Funerals than Weddings at our church, well, really not that sad for God’s children, but, we finally had the occasion to take our big girls to a wedding. They don’t remember ever having been to one before. I think I was pregnant with Clara the last time Lily and I went to one together. Anyway the three of us got to go a couple weeks ago and watch “Daddy” marry a couple at our church.

Several years ago I decided to put the calendar of the Church to use in my home. I wanted to do this especially for my children, hoping to teach them and to anchor them in Scripture and the Church.
The Christian Church Year is used for Christians for several reasons. To keep before us historic events important to our faith, for teaching ourselves and our children about Christ’s life and the Gospel and to remind us that this world is not our home, the focus of our lives is or should be on the eternal.

We finished a week of Bible School Friday and I have to say we were all relieved to not have to get up and go to church Saturday morning! We’re worn out. Phil organized this year and he taught a class. I didn’t want to teach again so I lead the crafts instead. Fun, but tiring for all.
