FarBucks

When you can’t go to Starbucks, bring Starbucks to you! Many of you know the hardship of my living 45 miles from a Starbucks or any coffee shop for that matter, not even a Scooter’s. And though McDonald’s is 20 miles away and I must say has a pretty fine Cafe Mocha at their very classy McCafĂ© and for the price it just might just be my new fave, it’s still a very rare treat to enjoy, so I’ve been trying for some time now to perfect mochas, coffee and fraps without much luck. BUT I’m very pleased to announce that my Mama has nailed the frappuccino! Hopefully she wrote down the recipe…

Veggie Heaven

We were given zucchini and eggplant by some neighbors this week and since none of us around here eat much of either we tried some experimental cooking. Above, zucchini with green and yellow peppers and onions (tomatoes added later), and below, fried eggplant!

And with all the tomatoes we got out of our garden fresh salsa was in order. Verna did some canning for me!
