as they were looking, he was taken up;
and a cloud received him out of their sight.”

Joyous Easter!
Saturday, April 2nd, 2016
We celebrated Christ’s Resurrection with joy and a sense of ease this year! No sunrise service but a wonderful breakfast feast between our morning services. Phil even got to join us for breakfast this year and didn’t have to zip off to another church service. He also didn’t preach this morning so that made a huge difference in how rested he felt for the day. I was thankful.
Our Holy Week
Saturday, April 2nd, 2016
Let’s see where did I leave off? With Palm Sunday? It’s been a while I guess. Recap time.
Hmmm. Not much in the way of observing Holy Week this year. We attended the final Lenten service on Wednesday then hunkered down at home while Phil preached or chanted the remaining 7 services at church that week.
O Christ, Thy Triumphs Now Begin
Monday, March 21st, 2016
“The company of angels
is praising you on high;
and we with all creation
in chorus make reply.
The people of the Hebrews
with palms before you went;
our praise and prayer and anthems
before you we present.”
Palm Sunday, one of my favorite days in the Church Year. The ease and festive air to this day gives me joy. The day we remember our Lord riding into Jerusalem. Riding to die. Riding on to conquer sin and take death captive. The Church sings out in praise and thanksgiving.
