Yes, I know there is no post for the 10th day of Christmas. That day all we did was clean and prepare for the 11th day of Christmas!

On the 11th day of Christmas we cheated and celebrated the Feast of the Epiphany early. Because this feast fell on a Sunday this year and we already had plans that evening we went ahead with a feast during Christmas. Instead of a big to do open house like we tried last year we went back to our tradition of inviting a few families over to observe the celebration with us.

The 5th day of Christmas. Every Saturday we have chocolate chip pancakes. Today we Christmas’d it up by adding whipped cream and Christmas sprinkles.

Many days of Christmas are quickly becoming a blur to me. I think today I ran out for some groceries and Christmas clearance shopping. Then being the Feast of St. John we supped on “Penne Pasta” because John “penned” one of the Gospels. After supper we had a Grinch movie night.

The Feast of St. Stephen. Today we rested. It was rainy and cold, perfect for doing nothing. Lily, Esther and I watched the 1984 GC Scott version of The Christmas Carol . This is the one I remember watching on TV as a girl so it’s my favorite.
