Baptismal birthdays are sneaky. I’m very good at forgetting them. June 28th is the day we remember Clara becoming a child of God in Holy Baptism. We prayed for her and sang her Baptism hymn from that day.
And treated ourselves to Strawberry Ice Cream floats!

Yesterday Clara turned EIGHT! These babies aren’t so much babies anymore as big kids, the reality is sinking in…kind of.
They all love the bread I make in the bread machine. I haven’t done that in a long time so I made some this week. That was all Clara wanted for her Birthday Breakfast, a piece of bread.

Each year the second grade classes at our school host “Poetry and Punch” in their classroom. This gives the kids a chance to recite the poetry they’ve written during their poetry unit. Oh and serve green punch. Mmmm.

Spring recital time. Lily and Clara did such a wonderful job performing their pieces. I’m so proud of them for practicing and being courageous, it’s scary to play in front of a lot of people! I think all their hard work paid off.
