August is Fair Time up here. This year we went to two county fairs.
Lily was asked to model (ooo, la la!) in the 4H Fashion Show showing a dress made by this lovely young lady.

Summer Stuff: From our Library

I’m so thankful that we have a nice library here in town. Now that the kiddos are getting bigger we can take advantage of it more often. This month we’ve had fun going to the Reading Program. This week we “Dug Into Reading” with a story and dig in the park. We found gold Doubloons or “Kabloons” as Lily kept caling them, little dinosaurs and REAL dinosaur bones!

We’ve had a wonderful case of the Summer Busies at the Parsonage this month and with school about to start, it’s only getting busier! So I thought I’d better put down some of our Summer fun, before it’s Fall…
We went fishing a couple times which is finally getting to be fun for the babies. They no longer cower and cling to Phil in the boat and we were surprised that this year Gerhardt actually got IN the boat!
At The Lake

After a weekend at the Fair we had to keep enjoying our beautiful and cool weather so we all headed to the lake for one more family fishing trip before school started. Clara has never attempted to get in the boat but she did this time and then caught her first fish! Phil was so proud.
