Last weekend we had an amazing treat, being the guests of this lovely couple on their super fancy dinner cruise. We were hosted by another lovely couple from our church who provide a carriage ride with hor d’oeuvres, appetizers on the patio, live music entertainment, then dinner and desserts during a cruise around the lake.

I think it’s funny that though we lived in rural Nebraska for eight years we never once experienced a tornado or a wedding in a barn. Then we moved to big city Nebraska and have checked both off our list within a year. Saturday we went to one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever been to. In a barn.
I was pretty nervous to receive an invitation to an outdoor wedding in the Summer. My experience with most things outdoors in the Summer is less than elegant and more like big bag of sweaty hot mess. But no one could stop talking about how amazing the weather was yesterday. Sunny and seventies. Perfect.

This weekend one of the Greek Orthodox churches held their annual festival. Since Phil and I like eating gyros we went over to check it out. I’m glad we did.
