Child of God

No baptismal gown, no glorious baptismal hymns sung by our dear congregation on a Sunday morning, no siblings dressed in their Easter White surrounding the font to witness the moment their new baby becomes a new creation. It’s very true, I miss not having all these blessings for our daughter but these are not what make a Baptism. With some sterile water from a syringe and God’s Word, our Heavenly Father gave our baby new life today. Rejoice with us for this second birth! 🕊️

“Renewing Spirit, hear our praise for your baptismal power that washes us through all our days.Come, cleanse again this hour.”

🎗️This morning Rose will have her back closure surgery. Please continue to keep her in prayer

Godparents

July 2: Martin gets to meet his godparents Tony and Becca. Good friends and former church members of ours here. They would have loved to attend the baptism of this guy but they’ve moved to Ohio last Summer and had to miss it. At least we got some time in when they were back visiting!

Martin is Baptized

Thursday, May 21st, 2020

May 7: We brought Martin to the font on a Thursday evening in a small service with a few families present. We thank Christ our Lord for the gift of new life and salvation he has received.

“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.” Roman 6

Another Hale boy in the “boy baptismal gown.” Mercy was very concerned that he would be wearing a gown. I assured her this was one time in a boys life that it would be appropriate.
