December Daily: Day One

Thursday, December 2nd, 2010

As I did last year I’ve decided to capture a slice of our life each day of December until the 25th. I came across Ali Edward’s website and loved her scrapbooking idea that does the same thing. Advent – He Came To Us

Sunday, November 28th, 2010

The Church’s season of Advent is here! Advent is from the latin word, adventus or “coming“.

During this time the church remembers that Jesus came to us as a baby, that He comes to us today in His Word and sacraments and we eagerly await when He will come again with glory.

“Savior of the nations, come,
Virgin’s Son, make here Thy home!
Marvel now, O heaven and earth,
That the Lord chose such a birth.”
