Giving Thanks

These weeks before Thanksgiving the babies have been telling me something they are thankful for each morning. I’ve been putting them down on a piece of paper and then into our Blessings Jar. We’ll take them out and read them on Thanksgiving day. *Aunt Leah, you’ll recognize this little jar I think!

Every morning they have one, then two, then 3, 4, 5 things they want me to write down for them. They are blessed abundantly and if I take the time to stop and open my eyes to God’s goodness, I find so much to be thankful for as well.

Our Hallow’een

Allow me to back up a bit and give you all a look at our Halloween. Here’s the cast of characters for our evening. Our little Matryoshkas or Russian Nesting Dolls and the Wild Kratts. You’ll notice one of our dolls is not like the others. The drama begins.

The girls took their costumes to school the day before for the Halloween Parade. Lily promptly handed her’s back when she got home. Clara didn’t, but I assumed it was in her backpack and didn’t worry until it was time to get dressed.

Mama: “Where’s your costume Clara?”
Clara: “I don’t know?”

And I don’t think she cared, but I was in a tizzy.

Happy Independence Day!

We celebrated the 4th in our traditional way, with our 4th trip to West Point for the 4th of July Fun Run. This year I actually got to walk it too, I’ve only done that one other time since I’ve usually been pregz. I’m also proud to say I didn’t forget the baby’s bottles, have to drive the 45 minutes home and back and miss the entire race. Go me!
