Sweet funny Martha. Four years old now. I thought it would be nice to have a good photo of her and since she was running around in a pretty little dress that was mine when I was 4 I tried my best to get one.
But being Martha I got these photos instead. And honestly, they are perfect.

On April 14th the week of Christ’s Passion was remembered. We began with Palm Sunday, one of my favorite days of the year. Traditionally we enjoy “Palm Sundaes” on this day but we were, well, Mama was too busy or tired or tired and busy to get cookies made this year. I think I might have even gone to rest early and Daddy took over supper time. I can’t remember now. In any case, Holy Week began. We waved our palms and sang Hosanna!

Our first trip of the season in the camper came in April. The kids had a couple days off from school so we hit the road and headed for Mahoney State Park. Of course it would have to be cold, wet and windy but we’re getting better at that kind of camping after the Fall we had. We stayed inside and enjoyed a few of the local indoor activities around our site. I still have a lot to learn about camper cooking but I consider this meal a success even with some burnt cookies for dessert.
